Felt Bluebird

Kits contain:

Blue felt - top body 3.5" x 6"

Blue felt - wings 3" x 4.5"

Beige felt - 3.5" x 4.5"

Black felt

Embroidery floss black (1 piece)

Embroidery floss blue (3 pieces)

Embroidery floss beige (1 piece)

Instructions

Step 1 - Cut the shapes out of the felt. The easiest way to do this is to tape the paper pattern piece to the felt and cut with sharp scissors (picture 1).

Step 2 - Position and glue the beak on one side of a blue top (picture 2).

Step 3 - With 1 or 2 strands of embroidery floss, sew the eyes to the outside of the blue top (picture 3).

Step 4 - Position and glue the wings to the blue top bodies (picture 4). Make sure that both bird halves match.

Step 5 - Position and glue the beige tummy under the blue top bodies + wings (picture 5). Make sure that both bird halves match.

Step 6 - With 2 strands of blue embroidery floss, stitch the wing details through all layers and stitch the blue top body to the beige body (picture 6).

Step 7 - Position and glue the hanger to the inside of the bird head (picture 7).

Step 8 - Using 2 strands of embroidery floss, blanket stitch the body closed with blue and beige embroidery floss. Add stuffing before fully closing the body.
